Program · Life Milestones
No family should face a milestone alone.
Most help arrives on the hardest days. This program exists for the other days — the ones worth celebrating — because dignity is not only about surviving a crisis. Funded by donations to the Life Milestones Fund and delivered with the association that knows each family.
What we support
- A child is born — a welcome kit, help with hospital paperwork, birth registration and consular birth reporting, and a check-in during the first months.
- Graduations and first jobs — recognition of the achievement, résumé and interview help, first-job paperwork and a know-your-rights briefing.
- Weddings and community celebrations — modest support and organising help when a family cannot afford the day, coordinated with its association.
- Elders — birthday and anniversary celebrations for elders who are far from their families, companionship visits and translation at appointments.
How it works
- Tell us about the milestone in your own words — the request form or help@tas-foundation.org, in English, Spanish or French.
- A team member replies within two business days and agrees with you what is possible.
- Support is modest and dignified: kits, gifts, organising help and community volunteers, as funds allow. It is never a loan and never carries fees.
- Where the association is a member of the Together and Stronger network, we organise it together.
What we cannot do
- We do not pay for ceremonies, venues or travel in full; we help where a small, timely gift changes what is possible.
- Support depends on the Life Milestones Fund; every request receives a personal answer even when we must say no.
