The charitable arm of Together and Stronger

When life gets hard,
you are not alone.

TAS Foundation gives free, confidential help to anyone with a foreign-born story — people born abroad, whatever their status, US citizens born abroad, the US-born children of foreign-born parents, and their families, relatives and friends. Hardship relief, fair work, housing and food stability, health navigation, family emergencies and protection from scams — in English, Spanish and French.

Help is free and confidential. We never ask for, store or share immigration status. Membership in Together and Stronger is not required.

Who we serve

Practical help for the moments that can break a household.

A lost job, an unpaid wage, an eviction notice, a medical bill, a death in the family far from home. TAS Foundation exists for exactly those moments.

We are the charitable arm of the Together and Stronger family. Where the membership association negotiates savings and TAS Member Services runs the business side, the Foundation does one thing: it helps people who are struggling, at no cost, with dignity and without judgment.

Every request is handled by a real person, in your language. We connect you to the right program, walk with you through the steps, and follow up until the problem is solved or the right partner has taken over. Read how we work.

Programs

Six program areas. One door.

You do not need to know which program fits. Tell us what is happening and we route it for you.

Hardship Relief

Short-term help when an emergency hits: a sudden job loss, an unexpected bill, a family crisis. Assessment within 48 hours, direct relief when funds allow, referral to vetted partners for larger needs.

How it works

Fair Work Initiative

Our labor-exploitation mitigation program. Know your rights, document what is happening, file a wage claim, report unsafe conditions — with confidential first-line help and referral to the agencies and attorneys who enforce the law.

Fair Work hub

Housing & Food Stability

Eviction notices, utility shut-offs and empty cupboards do not wait. We help you find and apply for the rental, utility and food assistance that exists where you live, and explain your rights as a tenant.

How it works

Health Navigation

Getting care should not depend on knowing the system. Community clinics, sliding-scale fees, medical bill review, charity care, payment plans and prescription savings — explained and applied for with you.

How it works

Family Emergencies Far From Home

When a loved one dies, or a crisis happens back home, we help families organize the first days, understand repatriation, deal with funeral costs and reach the Mutual Aid network and consular contacts.

Online Safety & Scam Protection

Households with a foreign-born story are targeted by impostor, immigration and 'fee' scams every day. Learn the patterns, verify who you are dealing with, and get help in the first 24 hours after something goes wrong.

Within two business days a Foundation team member reviews your request, asks the questions that matter, and explains your options plainly.

We walk with you until it is solved

We connect you to the right program or partner, help with the steps, and follow up. If we cannot solve it, we tell you who can.

Our family

Three organizations, one purpose.

TAS stands for Together and Stronger. The three organizations work as one family, each with its own role.

Together and Stronger

The membership association. One card, dozens of negotiated benefits, and a network of associations that stand together. $25 a year per adult; children under 18 are free.

togetherandstronger.org

TAS Member Services

The business arm. It negotiates and manages the partner programs — discounts, insurance, travel and everyday savings — that members use with their card.

tasservicesinc.org

TAS Foundation

The charitable arm. Free help for households in hardship, the Fair Work Initiative, online safety and family emergencies. This site.
